Our Story
Detour was founded in 2017 by father and son, Roland and Adam, after attempting to restore the headlights on their own vehicle. They found the process messy and time-consuming, which sparked them on a mission to develop a simpler solution.
Working from their basement, they developed RestoreX, a no-sanding headlight restoration solution, and began selling it door-to-door to used car dealerships across Ontario. The product quickly gained traction, leading to the development of their 1-Step Headlight Restoration Spray, now available in retailers across Canada.
Today, Detour remains a proudly family-owned business with one mission: to make car care simpler, smarter, and better: from headlight restoration to advanced glass treatments.
