Ensure headlights are 100% clean, cool, & dry.

Protect paint and trim by masking around headlights.

Note: The objective is to apply two even wet coats to the entire lens surface, including edges & corners. Spraying too closely or slowly may cause sags, and spraying too fast may cause a speckled finish.
2. APPLY
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.

HOLD CAN 8 INCHES AWAY. Evenly spray the entire headlight in a grid pattern (side-to-side, then up/down), slightly overlapping strokes for full coverage.
WAIT 1-2 MINUTES, then apply a second coat.

Repeat on the other headlight.

3. CURE
Coating will dry in approximately 20 minutes, DO NOT WIPE OFF OR TOUCH. Allow to cure for at least 2 hours before exposure to moisture.

Congratulations! You've successfully restored and protected your headlights.

Note: Proper use of this product will greatly improve headlight clarity. However, lenses that are cracked, pitted, contain condensation, or certain severe cases may not return to their original condition.
How long will the coating last once applied?
Once applied, our 1-Step Headlight Restoration Spray will last for up to 1 year. However, the longevity of our product depends on several factors, such as the application, weather exposure, how often the vehicle is washed, and wear/tear of the vehicle.

Can I use this product on slightly rough, scratched, or yellowed headlights?
For severely oxidized or yellowed headlights, we recommend using our Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit. Detour's 1-Step Headlight Restoration Spray will only improve the clarity of light to moderately oxidized headlights. Minor scratches may improve.

What’s the best way to clean up any overspray on my car’s paint or trim?
Accidental overspray? No problem, our coating will not damage vehicle paint and trim. To remove overspray, wet a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and firmly rub the affected area until clean.

What should I do if my headlights look hazy after applying the spray?
In humid conditions, you might notice a "blushed" or hazy appearance on the headlight after application: this is moisture trapped under the coating. Allow time for the product to gas off; do not touch the coating or wipe it off. Note that in severe cases, it may not completely clear up.

Why does my headlight look streaky or have drips after application?
This can happen when too much product is applied, causing excess product to sag and/or drip. To correct this, you can remove the product using this guide and reapply.

How do I remove this coating or an old one from my headlights?
